I met these 3 generations of Latham girlies in Gruene for a very fun shoot! Little Ariana was in town visiting and celebrating her 3rd birthday! Enjoy...

All about the birthday girl...

What in the world?!!!!! I'm loving this...

Then Ariana got to change into her magical dress! She had such a great time running around in it!...

Thank y'all so much for doing a shoot with me!!! I hope to see y'all again on Ariana's next visit!!!

i have exciting news!!!!!! {personal}

I am super-excited to tell everyone that David & I are expecting our 4th baby on May 11th!!! I'm currently 9 weeks, and moving right along! I'm not terribly sick like I felt with my twins and Brogan, but I just have a constant mild nausea all day. Nothing too bad!! We told the 3 boys last Sunday, and they are all really excited about it, too! They love kissing the baby constantly, telling it goodbye, and asking a million questions! Brogan, of course, has been the most hilarious! I don't think he understands why I can't deliver a baby penguin because he keeps telling me, "I really want to hold a baby penguin!" So funny!!!

Anyhow, we're over the moon excited about it all!!!! I'll let y'all know when we find out if we're having a boy or a girl!!!

3 muttin busters...well, almost 3 {personal}

A few weeks ago, we entered all 3 boys in Comal County's Muttin Bustin' contest. If you've never heard of Muttin Bustin', well, it's basically kids riding on a sheep. Crazy, right? Just google it, and you'll have yourself a ton of you-tubes that are hilarious! Anyhow, we showed our boys the you-tubes and they were excited to try it out!

We got all cowboyed-up, and were ready to head to the fairgrounds!...

Arriving at the Fairgrounds...

They assigned us our numbers, and I thought it was all too weird that we ended up with 5, 10, 15!...

We spotted a clown in the parking lot getting ready!...

Aunt Heather & Hailey were here to cheer the boys on! (Grammie, Poppa Bob, & Mimi were also there, but no pics...sorry!)...

All the kids had to go with their age groups and wait. Brogan was in the 3-4 year olds and Dayton & Grady were with the 5-6 year olds...

They all got to walk across the arena and wave at their parents before it started...(Brogan is at the bottom of the picture.) Unfortunately, I did not get a picture of Brogan dancing and doing karate in the middle of the arena...yes, he was the only child dancing and doing karate!...

By this time, one of the Directors of Muttin Bustin' had brought Dayton to us...crying...because he was scared. He was already crying because of something that happened in the stands, but his fears set-in. Argh! One down.

Grady is in the next picture waving at the bottom-left in the red shirt. He was so proud!!!...

Just had to include this picture to show you the 100+ kids that were registered to do this event!...

So, these are the gates where the sheep come busting out!...

Brogan got all suited up in his protective vest and helmet. The man carried him over the gates to put him on the sheep, and he said, "I not going to ride that sheep." He came to sit with us. So, two down! Argh!!!!...

Well, Grady did it!!!!!! Woo-hoo Grady!!!! He got the vest & the helmet and went for it! My mom took this pic, and you just can't really even tell what it is (I was filming). But if you can see that little sheep right out of the gate...well, Grady was already on the ground behind it. I think he lasted about 1.5 seconds! But we were SOOOO EXCITED!!!...

Grady has his number and his big ribbon hanging up beside his bed!!! So proud!

Now, I promised myself that I wouldn't make this entire post about how absolutely UNORGANIZED and HORRIBLE this entire event was and how we (nor any of our friends) will ever be doing it again!!!! I could go on for hours about the terrible things that happened! So, if you'd like to know more about it, ask me when you see me or shoot me an email!

the baltera family {gruene, tx family photographer}

I met this family at their photo shoot last year in downtown Austin! HERE They were so fun and I loved their style!!! (Mom has excellent taste & a super-adorable haircut to prove it!) Anyhow, they met me in Gruene this year for some updated family pics!! Enjoy...

Dominic is now 4 years old!!! It was his birthday the day of the shoot!...

And Olivia is 1 year old!...

Now, getting the kids to smile & look right at the camera was a bit tricky for us this day! I love that Mom and Dad just went with it, and never seemed to be stressed a bit! I'm thinking these last two are definitely my favorites!!! ;)...

That's what life is really like, right?!!!! Does anyone agree??!!!! Thanks again for meeting me in Gruene!!!

elissa f. {gruene, tx children's photographer}

This lovely little Elissa came strolling up to me in Gruene with her big sister! As much as her older sister would've enjoyed posing (I'm sure!), this shoot was just for Elissa, the sweet 3 year old! And it turns out to be a small world, once again! Elissa's big sister is in the GT program, with my mother-in-law's best friend, Mrs. V, who teaches in Alamo Heights! Crazy! Anyhow, here's this cutie who was full or personality!...

Do you think this was her way of telling me she was through with me following her around with my camera?!!...

Thanks for coming up to Gruene for the photo shoot! I hope to capture both sisters next time! ;)
