the end of an internship

Well, this post is about a month late, but better late than never, right?! My first year of being a "real" photographer is over. I often referred to this year as my own Internship. And it was simply amazing! I could never have expected the response that I received this past year! With all of the kind and sweet words, repeat customers, and the awesome families that I met along the way. So, thank you for all of your support, precious emails and letters, and for sharing my website and blog with others. Word-of-mouth has helped me grow to something that I could have only wished for!
So, now to this year!!! I've already met some wonderful new families and new friends! January must be one of the popular baby months, because my next three shoots are with little-bitties! And oh, how I love those tiny newborns!!! I've also put a few families on the calendar for this summer for Port Aransas shoots, and I can't believe that spring and summer really isn't that far off! I've also added some new items on my Details page through the website, so check those out! Well, thank you for a wonderful 2008, and I hope to see you all again in 2009!

OH! And a couple of you have asked me to post a picture of Brogan's...ummm...birthday present. :) I ordered myself...I mean Brogan...the most fabulous gallery-wrapped canvas print for his room! I've wanted one from the time I was pregnant with him. I had a 4x6 pictured just taped to the wall, waiting to someday be replaced by something a little grander! And oh, how grand this is!!! My husband gasped when he saw how big it was...20" x 30" to be exact! It's huge, but it's awesome, and looks so great on his wall, right above his crib! This picture doesn't do it justice, though. But it's been almost 2 months, and I still stop to oogle over it every day! I ordered it at www.winkflash.com, when they were having one of their 40% off sales. Would you believe me if I told you that this HUGE canvas was around $50!!??!! I'm not in love with the winkflash website for colored prints, as I've had some children turn out a bit orange. But for the price and the fact that it's just black and white, I couldn't pass it up! Love it...

Have a blessed day!
