officially five

Okay, so my twins are officially 5 years old! How crazy is that?!?!!! The weekend before we went on our plane ride! It was great! OH! A little disclaimer before you see these pictures...My mom got a really good camera for Christmas, so we were just going to take hers on the trip, so we wouldn't each have to carry one...well...she forgot it at home....so all of the pictures are with a nifty little disposable camera! Anyway, we were up super-early to get to the San Antonio airport. The boys were so excited, they could hardly stand it!...

The pilots thought they were so cute because they could hear how excited they were. So, they let them have a little tour of the cockpit! One of them asked 1,000 questions about every button and lever, while the other brother just stood silently in awe. (Can you guess which twin did what?) ;)...

We all had so much fun in Dallas visiting with their cousins and my brother&sister-in-laws. And quickly the next morning, it was time to fly back home...

Two tired little guys...

Finally, the morning of the big birthday! We were all up by 6:30 and the boys ran to their gifts, including lots of Spiderman toys!...

That night, we met their Mimi & PopPop at the Riverwalk to eat at The Rainforest Cafe. Yummy! The boys love it there, but their little brother, Brogan, was quite afraid of all the thunder and lightning...

The waiters came to sing Happy Birthday equipped with TWO HUGE chocolate volcano desserts! Grady played along with the men and acted like a gorilla during the song!...

And finally, it was their party! We hosted a Superhero (and princess) Pajama Party! Many of their friends from school and church were able to come! The kids were all dressed up, and just ran around playing in our backyard. We had cupcakes, ice cream, and we served them yummy PopPop pancakes!...those were a big hit with the parents, too!...

We also emailed all of the superheroes to see if any of them could make it to the party. Well, Spiderman wanted to come, but he was so busy, so he sent a couple of his Spiderman "friends"...

Well, after that fun-filled week, they're just regular 5 year olds now! They love holding their hands, will all of their fingers up, to tell people how old they are. Next up...kindergarten!!!!!!!!!!
