The Herrings and I spent the morning in Gruene getting some pics of their family and their two adorable girls! Brooke wasn't super-excited about being at the photo shoot, but we got to her to laugh a few times! She's so cute!! Enjoy...
Lovebirds...
And cuddling with their kiddos...
This is Brooke, and she's 2 1/2 years old (she and my Brogan did MDO together last year!)...
And this is little Farrah, who just turned one!...
Thank you for spending the morning with me! Hope to see y'all again soon!

following in mommy's footsteps (personal)
Oh, I just couldn't be prouder!!! Our town is having the big Comal County Fair all this week and weekend. It's a HUGE deal here!! There is no school on Friday, and all of the local businesses completely shut down for the parade on Friday morning. At the fair, they have lots of different things you can enter to show your "talents." Oddly enough (not really, because I kind of made them), my boys are entering their latest "work" into the photography contest!!!
One day after school, I told each boy to think of a really cool idea for a picture and we would work on it. It was so cute the way they really were deciding what to do! And I honestly let them choose whatever they wanted to do...as you will see! So, we went outside on our driveway (they clearly didn't think of anything too crazy!) and I put my camera on auto...and away they went! It was really cute. I can't believe that I didn't video them, but I was too worried about one of them dropping my camera to be doing anything else than follow them 2 steps behind!
So, here's Dayton's idea. He thought of putting his beloved hippo in the basketball net...
Grady thought of putting his favorite toy Buzz Lightyear in the mailbox...
Well, Brogan didn't really do this with us. I figured this was something just for the big boys to do. But he cried and cried, so once we were back inside, I let him take one picture. I almost deleted it, but thought it would be cute to remember that it was his first picture with Mommy's big camera. Well, when I was triple-checking the rules on entering the contest, I realized that the age range is 2-7 years old...Brogan could enter!!! Luckily I had that one picture that he took...of Grady's face...
Well, I think it will have to be a 3-way tie for 1st place at the Fair this year in the 2-7 year old Photography Category!!! Don't you?!!! ;)
So, make sure you go and check them out. I've had them each matted and framed and hopefully abided by the MANY rules of the Fair! They'll be hanging up with all the other photography entries! And if you have your camera with you, please, please, please do me the biggest favor ever and snap a picture for me! I'm leaving to go to Nashville, TN tomorrow for my MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) Convention. I'll be gone until Sunday evening, so I'll miss the whole thing! :(

introducing cole l. (new braunfels, tx)
Oh, this little man was so sweet!!! He has two super-hip and cool parents that were great to be around. I met Mom over the summer while we were volunteering together at VBS. She was pregnant at the time, so it was wonderful to finally meet her new little guy!!! Here's Cole at 4 weeks old...
With his Mommy and Daddy...
And then it was time for me to leave and Cole to go back to sleep...
Thank y'all so much for having me over! I had a great time getting to know y'all, and I hope to see you around soon!

sommer a. - pregnancy pics (new braunfels, tx)
I got to spend a morning with this lovely Mommy-to-be and her hubby! They live on beautiful land just on the outskirts of NB, and we got to hop around to different spots for the photos. My face must have lit up when they drove me to this super-old barn! I was so excited and loved it's rustic charm! We had a great time! Enjoy their pictures...
Just the belly...
And with her man...
Thank you guys so much for having me over! It was a pleasure meeting y'all, and I can't wait to see y'all again at the newborn shoot!

And I think Samuel was trying to tell us that it was time for me to go...
Thank y'all so much for welcoming me into your home! It was wonderful to meet y'all, and I hope to see you again soon!
