all better (personal)

Well, our Mr. Grady was one tough cookie today! Thanks for all of your sweet words and emails! I know that your prayers were working! We went to the hospital really early this morning, and he was surprisingly ready to go! Again, I think he was just thrilled that he got to miss school! The hard part was that we waited for almost THREE HOURS!!! Yikes! It seemed like forever! But then Grady got his sleepy meds and went on back with the nurses and doctor. David and I waited for about an hour, and then they called to let us know that he was awake and doing well. He got two popsicles and lots of hugs! The poor child ended up with several silver molars and two teeth pulled! I hate to even say this, but he and Dayton think those silver teeth are super-cool! Crazy!

By the time we got him home, it would have been hard to tell that he had even had surgery today! I mean it! He was supposed to be taking it easy, and our normal little "couch potato" only wanted to play oustide. So, as you'll see below, when Daddy got home from work, the boys went outside to...just be boys!

Here he is after getting home...

And then the three musketeers outside getting super muddy!...

Daddy finished them off with one of their famous outdoor showers!...

Good job today, Grady! I was amazed at what a big boy you were! Oh, and Dayton survived kindergarten alone today...with no tears!!! Turned out to be an okay day!
