future astronauts (personal)

Last week, my boys had a Family Fun Night at their elementary. It was space themed and very cool!! They had several exhibits brought in from the NASA!!! One was this cool space shuttle...

They also had a life-size astronaut's uniform that had been made into a statue of sorts. The back was carved out so you could climb in and stick your head through the helmet. I had volunteered to take pictures of each child as they became Future Astronauts, and we had all the images printed 5x7 for the kids! It was so fun to see all the little kiddos getting excited to push their face through!

Oh!! And the coolest part of the night, while David was helping Grady get inside the outfit, a photographer from the newspaper was coming through. He snapped a picture of Grady in the outfit and David looking on. It was on page 2 of last Friday's Herald Zeitung newspaper!!! Super cool!
