My little Grady is having surgery in the morning. Poor sugar! He's having some work done on his teeth...but it's sooo much work that we have to go to the hospital and have him put under. And yes, I take full responsibility for this! Even though his doctor has said that he has "his mommy's teeth" (which isn't good), it came down to a flossing issue. His molars are so super-close together that little cavities have formed between them. It's causing some problems and some pain for him. So, we're off early, early in the morning to go to the hospital in SA. He'll either have several root canals or have some of them pulled. The doctors will decide once Grady is asleep and they can get a better look.
Anyhow, we FINALLY told him about it tonight. After being so nervous to tell him about it, he's reacting great! Actually, he's acting better than I think I would be. I think he's thrilled with the idea of missing school already. Now Dayton, his twin, isn't so excited about this! He's then one that's been crying all night and saying, "I can't go to kindergarten without Grady!" Poor baby! They're not even in the same class, but he just doesn't understand why they'll be in two separate places. And Brogan will be home with my mom all day, waiting for us to return from the hospital.
So, please, if you get a chance, say a little prayer for Grady's recovery and that he's not too sore. And throw in a little prayer for Dayton, while you're at it, that he'll survive a day at kindergarten without his brother!
