the whelan family (new braunfels)

I met the Whelans at the park one morning. They arrived all decked out in their new white clothes, looking oh-so-cute for their pictures! Enjoy...

Just the two of them...

And little Sean was trying to pull Mom out of these pictures the whole time!...

The cute kiddos...

This is Ava, and she is 5 years old...

And this is Sean, and he is 2 1/2 years old...

Thank you guys so much for meeting me at the park! I hope to see y'all around New Braunfels now! And I have to leave you with a funny one! We asked the kids to kiss! Ava was ready to go, while Sean didn't like that idea! ;) ...

cherie - pregnancy pics (new braunfels)

I met Cherie for the first time at her gorgeous home. The beautiful home is very bittersweet, though, as she and her family are evacuees from the Hurricane Ike that destroyed so much of Galveston. They lost their beachfront home, and are now residing here in New Braunfels. They do have many reasons to celebrate and be thankful, and one of those is that they are expecting their second little boy in just a couple of months! Enjoy...

And Cherie is constantly getting comments on how tiny her tummy is, but she carried her first son the same way! Here's some of just that belly!...

Thanks so much for having me over to help capture this remarkable time in your lives! I can't wait to meet the little guy soon!!!

endings & beginnings (personal)

(Tissue for me, please!) Dayton and Grady officially graduated from preschool! :( What a bittersweet moment! We are so proud of all that they have learned and the many friends that they have made, but really...already finished? It doesn't seem like all that long ago when they were 2 years old, going to their preschool in Katy!...

They had their big graduation ceremony last week, fully equipped with caps & gowns! How adorable!!!! (Their teeth are a little blue in some of the pictures because they had blue cake!)...

Little Brogan also graduated from Mother's Day Out! Next year, he'll officially be in the preschool program at Learning Their Way, where I'm going to teach two days a week! Here he is back on his first day...

And then last week, celebrating their graduation with a trip to the park...

Our other "ending" was with t-ball. This was our first organized sport, and we had a great time with it! Daddy was the coach (and the "bestest coach ever" according to the kids!) The boys have a bunch of new buddies and can't wait until next year!...

At the end of each game, Brogan got to take one hit off the tee and then run the bases...

Some of the boys acting silly at their pool party today...

And onto the BEGINNINGS! Summer is here in New Braunfels! We've already spent several weekends and evenings at the lake swimming and goofing around. We love that all three boys seem to have been born with gills...

And I think their middle names for the summer is "goggles"...

Another "beginning" for us is more backyard BBQs! We absolutey love having friends over to play outside in the backyard. We had our 20s & 30s Sunday school class over for a Crawfish Boil. The kids loved looking and messing with the critters!...

Our biggest "beginning" for our family is that Daddy started a new job!!! He's one of the Directors of Distribution for the local company, the Scooter Store! He spent the last week going through Scooter University (how cute does that sound?), and meeting all of his new work associates. We feel super-blessed to have him only 1.2 miles from the house, versus the 30+ miles he was driving each way at his last job!

Well, here's hoping everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend! We started off the weekend by letting the boys stay up a little later to finish watching a movie (and if you know us, we mean staying up until 7:30, instead of 7:00!! ;)) We walked in the playroom to tell them that it was time for bed, and this is how we found them...(more tissues, please!)...
