seriously?? {personal}

Seriously?  It's freezing cold outside!!!  We live in New Braunfels, TX, so it's not supposed to get this cold here!  And maybe it could just be freezing during the night, but by the time we wake up, at least go up into the 40's or something!  Right?  David takes the twins to school, so I don't have to worry about getting cold at 7:25 a.m.  But I get to take Brogan to school, and the thought did cross my  mind to just keep him home today, selfishly, so I wouldn't have to go outside!!!  (I even had a sweet friend offer to come pick him up this morning, since she's aware at how I hate this cold!)  But we both bundled up, and headed to the car.  This is what we saw...

Holy Schnikes!!!!  Freezing!!!!  I'm not smart enough, like my husband does, to turn my car on at least 5 minutes before we leave.  So, when we get in and start driving, it really heats up right about the time we pull into the school driveway.  Super-smart!  Argh!!!  He was fine.  He had on three layers of clothing to keep warm with hats & gloves, and he looked mighty adorable.  Can't believe I didn't snap one of him. ;(

So, our very fun Daddy decided to do a "science experiment" with the boys.  Last night, they each filled up a cup with their name on it, and put it on the back porch.  Voila!  Today it was ice!!!  Remember, we live in Texas, so this is astonishing magic!...

And I'm back at home, working on the computer today.  My "office", which is nothing close to an office...just a desk with a computer in the corner of our playroom, is freezing!  It's horribly insulated, as it is a converted garage.  And our windows are very old and the cold air just pushes right through them.  So, I'm thankful that we have a portable heater that I have set-up about 2 feet from me!...

And I don't drink coffee, so I have a nice cup of hot cocoa!  Yum!!!...

Cheers to wishing for warmer weather!

Amber, how old is that heater? I hate to say it, but our house is not that old and we have great windows and I still keep a portable heater in the computer room with me when I am "working".
