happy halloween!! (personal)

Last night, we finally got around to carving our pumpkins. Each boy got to pick out his very own pumpkin at our church's (First United Methodist's) big pumpkin patch. It was cute to watch them search for their idea of the "perfect pumpkin." Each pumpkin looked so different and had flaws that only I saw. I loved that the boys didn't even notice those flaws (not round enough, too short, bumpy parts, etc.), and they were just so proud of selecting their own pumpkin!

So, the three hours at home waiting for Daddy to get home from work, seemed like forever! The boys passed time with playing chase in the front yard...

And I figured that since they were all down on the ground, they might as well stop for a second and pose for a little picture!...

Then Daddy got home, and to carving we went!!!!...

Brogan was a little afraid of the ooey-gooey insides, so he chose to just inspect and watch us...

With their cool creations...

Tonight, we had the Solbergs over to trick-or-treat with us. Our boys loved having friends to go with! Here they are in their costumes...

Dayton and Grady both wanted to be Storm Troopers. Brogan was Buzz "White-year"!...

And back at home going through their candy! It almost makes my tummy hurt just by looking at all that!...

This was Brogan's first big year of real trick-or-treating! He was hilarious! After every house, he'd run to tell us that "...i got a trick-or-treat in my pumpkin patch"...instead of "i got candy in my pumpkin." It was so cute!...

We hope that y'all enjoyed your night, as much as we did! What a fun holiday!!!
