happy belated easter (personal)

I'm hoping that everyone had a wonderful Easter and got to celebrate with some friends or family! We carried on my childhood tradition of dying eggs the Saturday night before Easter. The boys were so excited all day about doing this together. Grady dyed them as fast as he could...Dayton dyed them very carefully...and Brogan dropped each egg into the dye from what seemed like 5 feet above! Here are some pics...

Well, Brogan had finished all 12 of his eggs with much of Daddy's help! He was so proud and had a great time! Then...we had to tell him that we were "all done!" And with those words, came this...

Is this a trend? Must I have a purple-screaming-baby-Brogan picture along with each and every holiday?!?? Poor baby!!! He calmed down about 15 minutes later! Whew! That boy can turn it on! And it's sad, too. He's not just mad and angry, he's really hurt and sad by us telling him no.

Life goes on. So, the next morning we wake up to find that the Easter bunny hides our dyed eggs. He had to hide them inside again this year because it was raining outside. Dayton and Grady loved it, blazing around the house to find the eggs. Brogan was more interested in his full Easter basket that he spotted on the kitchen table.

Then it was off to church! We had a wonderful, wonderful service with our Pastor Laura. We are so very thankful that we LOVE going to church because we enjoy the worship and we really enjoy all of our new friends! The twins this year were very proud to be able to tell us the real reason we were celebrating...other than bunnies and eggs!

Here are my handsome men all dressed up! They insisted that every picture be posed by the bunny!...

Finally, it was off to their Mimi and Pop Pop's house for lunch, more hunting, swimming in the freezing cold lake, and riding bikes! Their Grammie and Poppa Bob drove into town later that evening, too, so we were lucky to see so much family in one day!

Well, we hope this holiday was great for you and your families, too!
